To provide an effective engineering and maintenance support to manufacturing. To carry out planned and preventative maintenance of plant and equipment within the Production areas to optimise plant availability.
Responsibilities (Maintenance Engineer)
o To ensure that safe working practices are used at all times
o To carry out maintenance of plant and equipment on instruction of a works order
o To monitor and carry out the planned maintenance programme
o To order essential engineering parts using the EPR system
o Replace parts removed from machines and complete the correct documentation
o To carry out machine modifications and improvement activities towards optimising plant performance
o To ensure that communication is effectively maintained with the Section Leader/Shift Manager/Senior Engineer
o To ensure that levels of housekeeping are maintained Standards of Performance are achieved when:
o Your technical knowledge is constantly updated and you are fully conversant with all plant equipment
o Planned and preventative maintainance programmes are carried out in line with optimising plant availability
o Engineering part requistions are completed through the EPR system.
o City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or;
o BTEC National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
o NVQ level 3 Engineering Maintenance Diploma (Electrical or Mechanical Pathway) or equivalent
o Craft Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
