Overview (Maintenance Engineer):
A vacancy has now become available in the Engineering Maintenance Department for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer working a full continental shift pattern, reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisors.
With an emphasis on breakdown elimination and preventative maintenance, you will be encouraged to have a direct input into the continuous improvement culture, and have individual project ownership.
The role demands an apprentice trained and technically based individual who can offer at least 3 years experience in engineering or manufacturing and also hold relevant technical qualifications. The applicant must be conversant with PLC applications, drives and control systems and have a good understanding and working knowledge of current safe working practices.
o Apprenticeship and relevant qualifications
o Previous experience of working in an Engineering background
o Multi-skilled i.e. electric's, including electrical isolation experience, welding and machining,
o Knowledge and experience of working with hydraulics
o Experience of applying Risk Assessments
o I.T Literate
o Experience of problem solving on maintenance, i.e breakdowns
o Preventative Maintenance Experience
o Knowledge of H&S and safe systems at work
o Experience of Casting, Smelting Industries
o Experience of vacuum technology
o Plasma welding understanding/knowledge
o PLC knowledge
o Applying continuous improvement philosophies
o CMMS Experience
