A successful global organisation, one of the largest suppliers of components and assemblies supplying into automotive OEMs globally, is seeking an experience Process or Maintenance Engineer to support new product introduction projects.
Position: Production Process Engineer
Salary: c £35000 + benefits
Hours: Day shift, Monday to Friday
As a Production Process Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining all plant equipment and tooling so that it is running at its optimum speed and reliability level.
o Assisting in all layout change activities including disconnecting, moving and installing plant and equipment as required
o Complete all allocated TPM in accordance with the appropriate schedules and requirements
o Provide an effective response to all unplanned plant and equipment and tooling breakdowns, both mechanical and electrical
o Maintain and improve process settings to ensure product quality is sustained at an acceptable level
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of the TPM system and suggest improvements where appropriate
o Modify and troubleshoot PLC controls related to continuous improvement
o Provide tooling, welding and process engineering support for improvement projects
You will already have a track record in a similar Production Engineering or Process Engineering role in a fast paced production environment and enjoy a fairly hands on problem solving and continuous improvement culture;
o Served recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical or equivalent
o Process/ Maintenance experience in volume production environment
o Knowledge of robotic welding processes, press/ stretch bending tooling and associated jigs & fixtures
o Hydraulic and Pneumatic system knowledge
o Electrical/ electronic control systems incorporating PLC / Robotic systems
