Area Sales Manager (North East)

An established engineering company who continue to experience rapid growth are looking to take on an experienced Area Sales Manager to add to their team. As an accomplished Area Sales Manager you will drive the sales of the company in high standard fabrications for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries amongst others.

Job Title - Area Sales manager
Region - North East (Home based or working from the head office based in Staffordshire)
Salary - £35k (OTE Circa £55k) + Company Car, Phone, Laptop, Pension

" The Area Sales manager will be responsible for planning and prioritising sales activities and will plan and manage their assigned region in line with the agreed sales strategy.
" Maintain relationships with existing customers whilst identifying and developing new clients
" Organise marketing activities within the assigned region including product launches, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing keeping all activities with in timeframes and budget
" Update and maintain internal systems and follow up all sales enquiries
" Analysis of markets, customers and competitors activities, providing input / feedback into the development of a profitable business plan
" Liaise with other sales engineers and production staff to ensure an integrated approach towards an increase in sales and customer satisfaction
" Liaise and negotiate at customer meetings
" Attend internal company functional meetings
" To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post.

The Candidate
" Must be flexible in their approach and willing to travel when required
(This role will have the flexibility of being able to work from home of the head office based is Staffordshire)
" Have a background in steel/sheet metal fabrications
" Knowledge of food processing and pharmaceutical processing industry would be beneficial
" Excellent communication skills are essential
" Ability to work as a part of a team and on your own
" A full driving license
