An Established engineering company based in the Birmingham area are looking to take on an experienced control systems engineer to add to their capable team of engineers.
As Controls Engineer you will be looked upon for your expertise in all aspects of electrical controls from software to hardware.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in automated systems and will be a prominent and constructive member of the team as the client deals in various sectors from automotive, special purpose machinery, materials handling and food and beverage amongst others.
Position - Controls Engineer
Location - Birmingham
Salary - Circa £45k
Reporting directly to the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for support throughout all stages of the projects from concept to commissioning. You will be expected to have a hands on approach throughout, developing control systems, electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, developing communication interfaces and working to project requirements,
Skills and Requirements:
" PLC Programming from scratch (Primarily Siemens)
" Specify, maintain, program, and design HMI components
" HMI programming & SCADA software
" Plan and develop SCADA HMI applications
" Schematic design using Eplan
" Commissioning and validation of software
" Understanding of various networks and protocols
" Liaison with clients and subcontractors
" Experience with automated systems
" Knowledge of Robotics
" Experience in project planning
