Part of a major international group, this organisation is investing heavily in production facilities to deliver high value components to the automotive industry.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, responsible for coordinating all project from initial from engineering design and validation, through quality planning, manufacturing, commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remains on time in order to meet their customer's needs.
o Coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases
o Plan project requirements and resources, including the sourcing of sub-contract elements
o Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions
o Produce deliverables on-time to customer requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessary
o Effectively analyse customer and internal changes, including feasibility study
o Track customer changes and participate in customer meetings when required
o Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes
o Assist with design verification and sign off reporting
o Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role you are likely to be already working in a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager position, leading engineering program within an automotive environment.
o Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification ( HNC/ Degree preferred)
o Proven Project Engineering/Project Management experience
o Evidence of technical problem solving and route cause investigation
o Experience of APQP/ PPAP process
o Understand expectations of automotive OEM customers and Tier 1 component suppliers
