An interesting and varied team based role, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities for routine maintenance, support and development of new and more established equipment, including a wide range of heavy industrial equipment upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.
Responsibilities & Duties (Maintenance Engineer):
o Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on a wide range of industrial equipment, including fault-finding, and monitoring.
o Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts.
o Conduct routine maintenance and testing on industrial equipment and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
o Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
o Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards and follows safety requirements.
o Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in mechanical systems without receiving explicit direction.
o Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.
Person Specification (Maintenance Engineer):
o Apprentice trained with relevant technical electrical qualifications (NVQ/ONC or equivalent).
o Excellent fault finding skills
o Working knowledge of hydraulics and pnuematics
o The ability to identify issues and assist in designing out the issue.
o Previous preventive maintenance experience.
o Condition monitoring experience.
o Ability to read, interpret and mark up electrical drawings.
o Ability to understand complex machinery
o Safe working knowledge including PTW and Risk Assessments.
o Multi-skilled i.e. basic electrics, FLT licence, crane driving and slinging.
o Appreciation of CI philosophies and good customer relations.
