Job Details

To support a new product introduction programme for a major automotive tier 1 manufacturer, two Project Quality Engineers are sought for a 6 month contract duration.



Project Quality Engineer - APQP/ NPI

Location: Shropshire

Rate: £32 - 37 per hour

Duration: 6 months - start ASAP



Duties:

o Manage APQP process for introduction of new products into production

o Collate all dimensional reports, control plans, PFMEA for submittal in line with PPAP requirement

o Ensure all PPAP elements are achieved for PSW sign off

o Liaison with customers to verify project schedules, budgets and quality

o Validation and buy-off of Gauge/Checking jigs & fixtures

o Monitoring and meeting with suppliers

o IMDS documentation

o Set up of measurement activities and analysis of measurement study (MSA) reports



Experience:

This role would be suitable for an experienced automotive Quality Engineer with either a strong project/ NPI background or a Production Quality Engineer seeking a development role focused on more project and new product introduction.

o Recent automotive tier 1 experience

o Strong NPI and product launch Experience

o Recent Automotive experience and knowledge of IATF16949 systems

o Excellent knowledge of APQP and PPAP documentation

o Experience in checking fixtures, and gauges

o Current driving license and willingness to travel to various company sites

o Qualified in an Engineering discipline (HNC/ Degree level preferred)
