A leading manufacturing business based in the Aerospace industry require a Maintenance & Facilities Manager to continue driving forward it's successful Warwickshire based factory. In this role you will be reporting directly to the General Manager.
Job Title: Maintenance & Facilities Manager
Package: £45000- per annum + bonus, health care, pension
Area: West Midlands, Warwickshire (commutable from South Birmingham, Coventry, Leamington, Stratford Upon Avon, Northampton, Leicester, Rugby)
Role and Responsibilities for the Maintenance & Facilities Manager will include:
o The Maintenance & Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output.
o Managing Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), managing breakdowns of a mechanical & electrical nature
o People management and budgetary/cost reporting.
o Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. o Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.
o Increase the site operational effectiveness (OEE)
o Improve on project delivery, mean time between failure (MTTF) and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. o Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department.
o Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
o Lead focused improvement work to improve operational efficiency and document from CIP action plan.
Qualifications and Experience (Maintenance & Facilities Manager) :-
o Relevant manufacturing/engineering qualification is required (HNC minimum)
o Extensive industrial plant level experience with significant proven man management experience
o Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/ electrical/ electronic discipline
o Technical capability and understanding
o The candidate will be able to read and follow electrical wiring and schematic drawings, with the ability to build, modify, maintain and install electrical systems.
o Understanding Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma principals would be advantageous
o Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance
o Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain
o Understanding of ISO9001, 14001, 18001. (ISO45001)
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office
