As an Press Shop Manager reporting into the Director of the business you will be responsible for joining a Multi-Million Pound organisation, focusing on driving productivity to enable 85% O.E.E across all press work production by ensuring all resources are managed.

Up to £75,000 Basic + Package
o Ensure all pressing resources are effectively managed
o Champion and Drive O.E.E measurement at productivity and improvement across all production (85% target)
o Review production schedule, plan and manage production activity to meet requirements
o provide management information regarding production performance, targets, processes, downtime, capacity and planning
o Attend meetings and communicate effectively with all departments including production, planning, maintenance and technical.
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the company
o Manage supervisors and team leaders to motivate and organise team members to ensure parts are efficiently made and are produced on time and to a high standard.
o Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers
o Ensure all press area is maintained to a very high level of Health & Safety and Cleanliness
o Attend and report O.E.E meetings
o Coordinate overtime to meet demands of tooling schedule
o Work closely with Plant and Production Director to keep manning to a minimum without compromising production
Qualifications and Aptitudes:
To be successful in this role you will already have experience working in the capacity of a Press Shop Manager and will see this a tremendous opportunity to establish and influence the management of the Press Shop working closely with the Plant and Production Director within this Multi Million Pound organisation.
Further more your experience will encompass some of the following key metrics;
o Previous managerial experience role in a press shop with the capacity of up to 1000 tons making Automotive Components
o Experience of using manufacturing methodologies such as lean manufacturing and six sigma
o Strategic problem solver and the ability to make key decisions
o Must be a proficient user of MS office
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
