Part of a major international group, this organisation has a volume manufacturing facility producing high value products for the automotive industry. The plant is currently undergoing a period of transformation and capital investment to ensure the business remains competitive in an ever changing environment. As a result an experienced customer facing Quality Engineer is sought to continually improve the business performance, lead NPI and customer satisfaction.

Location: Dewsbury, commutable from Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Leeds, Halifax areas
Salary: to £45000 + benefits
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for customer complaint resolution, process/ product audit, IMDS reporting and PPAP submission to ensure quality, productivity and efficiency gains are achieved.
o Monitor and analyse Production Quality performance
o Customer Concerns management and resolution of faults through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and structured Problem Solving (8D, Fish Bone, Taguchi)
o Manage the containment activity and disposition of products / materials
o Compile PPAP documentation against Customer Specific requirements ( Documentation and Timing )
o Maintain and update Control Plans inline with FMEA and Corrective action activity
o Process Improvement projects within milestones and budgets
o Quality lead on-site internal auditing
Qualifications and Aptitudes:
To be successful in this role you will already have several years experience working within a high volume manufacturing plant in a Quality Engineer capacity and will see this a tremendous opportunity to establish and influence the technical direction within a fast paced production plant.
o HNC/ Degree level or equivalent in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or apprentice trained
o Fast pace continuous manufacturing process expertise, such as plastics, powder, textile, packaging, FMCG or Automotive industrial sector
o Ideally technical experience gained in thermally sensitive manufacturing processes
o Previous experience on a senior management team and proven experience of managing a quality function
o Strong quality tool kit (PPAP/ APQP) and auditing experience ( ISO 9001/ IATF16949 )
o Problem identification and problem solving tools
o Proven ability to manage customers expectations and deal with suppliers
