Part of a major international group, this organisation has a volume manufacturing facility producing high value and is currently undergoing a period of transformation and capital investment to ensure the business remains competitive in an ever changing environment. As a result an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor is sought to provide an effective and proactive maintenance service utilising Planned Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance techniques to ensure efficiency and cost targets are exceeded and that best practice maintenance management is used.

Industry: FMCG / high volume manufacturing
Location: Dewsbury, commutable from Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Leeds, Halifax areas
Salary: Excellent salary, shift allowance, paid overtime
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operational performance of a maintenance team over a three shift pattern.
o Co-ordinate and lead maintenance repairs, both reactive and breakdown, of all plant and machinery to ensure production targets and quality objectives are met.
o Identify and resolve health and safety issues relating to maintenance
o Conduct machine condition appraisals.
o Identify maintenance improvements to production equipment.
o Collate equipment history and performance information.
o In conjunction with production colleagues carry out root cause analysis to resolve issues
o Liaising with Production supervision about breakdown's and handover once completed.
o Dealing with external suppliers and ordering parts as needed.
o Supervising the team during each shift and prioritising jobs in the absence of the Maintenance manager.
Qualifications and Aptitudes:
To be successful in this role you will already have several years experience working within a high volume manufacturing plant in a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician capacity, with proven supervisory, leadership or training experience. This a tremendous opportunity to establish and influence the technical direction within a fast paced production plant.
o ONC/ HNC level or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or apprentice trained. 17th Edition IEE highly desirable
o Fast pace continuous manufacturing process expertise, such as plastics, powder, textile, packaging, FMCG or Automotive industrial sector
o Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems combined
o Ability to programme and fault find industrial automation including PLCs, HMI, AC/DC Drives and associated communication protocols
o Problem identification and problem solving tools
o Proven ability in planning, delegation and leading teams by example
o Understanding of business KPIs and budget control to achieve business goals
