A global automotive supplier with a multi-site presence in the UK are seeking a Production Team Leader to drive performance and staff development across a brand new production facility based in Tyne & Wear. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your team from scratch in a brand new state of the art facility.



Position: Production Team Leader

Location: Washington (Commutable from Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and Blyth)

Salary: Up to £30000 (inclusive of Shift Allowance)

Hours: Initially on Days then to move on 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am rotating

Contract: Full-Time Permanent



About the Role:



Reporting into the Assembly Supervisor- the Production Team Leader will:



' Ensure the execution of daily and weekly plans in line with customer requirements

' Ensure KPIs are consistently met, monitoring and driving performance against these measures- with a focus on customer delivery.

' Lead continuous improvement activity to improve operational efficiencies in order to deliver reductions in waste and cost.

' Take responsibility for all general management duties, including health and safety, productivity and individual training requirements.



About the Person:



You will be results driven and a customer focused Production Team Leader as well as possessing the following attributes:



" Experience in an automotive environment ideally with experience within automated assembly

" Previous experience of setting up new facilities/installing new machinery would be advantageous.

' Have proven knowledge, and experience of the application of Lean tools and techniques

" Be able to work away across the UK in the first 6-12 months for training

' Be a proven people manager- with demonstrable leadership skills.

' Currently is a Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or Section Manager
