A well-known Chemical Manufacturer who are currently experiencing amazing levels of growth and success in their marketplace are seeking a Process Engineer with a background in Engineering to drive process improvement initiatives at their plant in Staffordshire
This is a 6-9 month placement initially but there is potential for further work. The position will be ideal for a candidate who wants exposure to a busy and successful manufacturing environment.
Position: Process Engineer (6-9 month contract)
Salary: up to £27,000 pro rata rate
About the Role
Reporting into the Operations Director, the Process Engineer will have:
o Ability to scrutinise process and to identify changes that can be made
o Previous experience of process routings/timings will be essential to the role
o Experience of ERP systems (MS Navision preferable) but IT literacy is essential
o An analytical approach to your work is essential
o A good lean tool box would be beneficial – route cause analysis, process improvement, cost savings
About the Person
The successful Process Engineer will preferably have experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
o An educational background in Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical engineering would certainly be beneficial (degree or equivalent)
o Strong IT skills
o Highly analytical- able to perform and analyse capability studies
o Ability to understand and implement process control in manufacturing
o Experience of Project engineering & the ability to communicate with different areas of the business is essential – from shop floor to management.
This role will suit Process Engineers, Chemical Engineers or Project Engineers – this role is for 6-9 months but still pays a good salary and will present a great opportunity to work directly with the Operations Directors who will mentor and lead the right candidate.
