Part of a major international group, this organisation has a volume manufacturing facility producing high value products. The plant is currently undergoing a period of transformation and capital investment to ensure the business remains competitive in an ever changing environment. As a result they require a Process Engineer to run continuous Improvement in a high volume, fast paced, KPI driven environment.



Position: Process Engineer – Textiles manufacture

Location: Dewsbury, commutable from Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Leeds, Halifax areas

Salary: Very competitive based on experience



Reporting to the Engineering Manager; the Process Engineer will be responsible for development and optimization of the manufacturing processes, reducing cost & the key element of reducing variability.

o The Process Engineer will be responsible for all technical input on all process related capital projects and New Product Introduction

o Maintenance of PFMEA, product specifications & process instructions documentation

o Project Management of plant based continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste reduction & productivity

o Monitor process performance and resolve concerns be applying a structured problems solving approach

o Optimizing processes on current manufacturing equipment, investigation of potential modifications to current equipment & investigation of new equipment & processes that maybe required for shop floor expansion



Application are sought from experienced Process Engineers, Process Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, Production Engineers. Our client would also be interested in recent graduate engineers who have a specific background in textiles manufacture.

o HNC/ Degree educated in an Engineering, Manufacturing or suitable scientific discipline

o Experience in a fast paced continuous manufacturing processes background. Ideally related to textiles or weaving manufacturer processes, or similar process led industries such as FMCG packaging, plastics, paper, rubber, pharmaceutical production

o Knowledge of thermally sensitive manufacturing processes is highly desirable

o Broad technical / engineering knowledge incorporating Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems

o Good project management skills to lead continuous improvement or CAPEX projects

o Solid Root Cause Analysis ( RCA ) and Problem Solving skills – 8D, Fishbone, Ishikawa, 5Y etc

o Documentation control including flow charts, FMEA, SOP, technical specifications and quality systems
