Position: Supply Chain Manager
Salary: to £65000 + car, pension, life assurance
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing material planning and control, supplier and customer interface. Key functions will include: material control processes, inventory management, forecasting, vendor selection and management, scheduling, warehouse & despatch, factory planning, development of supply chain strategy and continuous improvement.
o Manage the MRP module of the ERP system to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to meet the production plan & customer orders
o Coordinate the achievement and maintenance of specified inventory targets
Provide visibility of supply, delivery and capacity planning
o Provide training, motivation and support to all of the team
o Contribute supply chain information regarding short term material availability, capacity and constraints and develop contingency planning
o Collaborate with cross functional team to meet the expectations of the customer base
o Lead improvement initiatives for inventory accuracy, delivery & supplier performance
You will already be working as a Supply Chain Manager within a high volume manufacturing environment, ideally automotive tier 1 supplier, where you have overseen the end to end process (planning, materials, warehousing, procurement etc). Key attributes for this Planning Manager role will be as follows;
o Significant Production & Materials Planning/ Supply Chain Management experience within manufacturing sector
o Supervision/ management of medium to large Supply Chain/ Planning team
o Background working across Material planning/ Logistics & Warehousing ideally within automotive supply chain
o Self-starter with high energy levels, personal drive and commitment
o High level experienced user of MRP/ ERP systems
