Are you a Quality Engineer looking for a new challenge? Do you have proven experience of working within the automotive or similarly fast paced manufacturing industry? An international group who produce high volume, high precision components are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer with extensive CNC machining experience to take a "hands on" position within the company, supporting both the Quality and Technical departments.
The Quality Engineer will be pivotal to the successful operation of the business and you will have past experience of machining, CNC programming / fault-finding and experienced within tooling / tool management.
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum based upon experience
Location: West Midlands; commutable from Walsall, Dudley, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.
o Provide hands on support to the production line with a focus on the improvement of current processes and tooling
o Review KPI's surrounding scrap and OEE, making necessary improvements to the CNC machinery
o Update existing quality systems to improve current documents and generic processes.
o To support the manufacturing team to identify corrective actions and resolve root cause quality related issues.
o Supporting the management of all quality related issues within the manufacturing team including internal, supplier & customer
o Contribute to continuous improvement & being responsible for training the employees and keeping them fully aware of all things quality
o Participate in Quality audits, both internal & external.
The successful Quality Engineer will have the following skills/experience:
o Proven structured problem solving skills (8D)
o Experience setting CNC machines, preferably Milling and Turning
o Previous experience programming CNC machinery, experience with Siemens Sinumeric would be advantageous
o Previous experience and a clear understanding of the core Qualtiy tools; Control plans, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Work instructions etc
o Ability to analyze data and make recommendations and action plans accordingly
o Strong communication skills and relationship building skills
