An award winning Manufacturer in the West Midlands are seeking a Production Planner to work with the Operations functions and be responsible for the day-to-day planning.

You will be required to liaise with all areas of the business and will be a key part of the factory's running. Your primary focus is to ensure that the business deliver a first class service to the customer base.

Whilst this manufacturer is encountering a lot of change, with planned a multi-million pound capital equipment expenditure planned for 2020/21 and ongoing improvements happening constantly; this will require a robust individual who can adapt and move forward with the business.

Position: Production Planner

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: up to £35000 per annum + Benefits

Contract: Full time permanent position

About the Role:

As the Production Planner you will:

o Have experience of operating in a engineering environment.

o Ensure the schedules across multiple production lines are planned effectively to deliver OTIF based on customer requirements and demanding lead times.

o Support Sales, Production and Purchasing to ensure spikes in demand are accounted for and minimal stock is held onsite.

o Work closely with current and additional suppliers in a complex supply chain model, ensuring consistent supply of materials, taking into account daily, weekly and long term production plans.

o Have a strong understanding of other functions and the benefit of good planning to these areas, including Quality, Continuous Improvement and Engineering.

About the Person:

You will have experience of being a Production Planner within a bespoke complex engineering focused manufacturing environment, along with the following:

o An Engineering background within a machining environment would be a massive advantage.

o Be able to communicate effectively with other members of the planning team, additional departments and external suppliers/customers.

o Be able to work with short lead times and manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.

o Be Data driven and possess strong IT competency- including previous ERP/MRP use.
