Part of a leading national group, this organisation is a world leader in the production of specialist electrical equipment to a variety of sectors including retail, government facilities, hospitals and military installations.

As a Warehouse Manager your role will be instrumental in supporting the manufacturing operation, managing the inbound and outbound warehouse functions.



Warehouse Manager

Location: North Gloucestershire; commutable from Worcester, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Cheltenham

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, based upon skills and experience



Main duties and responsibilities:

O Deliver daily communications across the warehouse team in conjunction with the Production Manager

O Deliver service excellence to Customers working with the Customer service team

O Monitor KPI's & direct continuous improvements

O Accurate receipts, stock location, transactions, stock check activities and variance auditing

O Picking, kitting, transacting and shipping material to site locations co-incident with demand

O PI counting across outbound in conjunction with the Production Manager making accurate stock adjustments to maintain high stock accuracy

O Operate with 5S principles and very high safety standards

O Safe use of machinery and manual handling techniques, including the service and upkeep of all machinery

O Non-conforming stock management including timely return of goods to suppliers

O Work in harmony with peers sharing resources relative to demand and supply objectives



Knowledge and experience required:

O You will hold previous experience as a warehouse manager, supervisor or team leader. Previous supervisory / team leader experience is essential

O Relevant industry qualifications, such as City and Guilds in Warehouse and Storage or Institute of supply chain management would be advantageous.

O Proven problem solving ability

O Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of warehouse system operations and PI count process.

O Previous experience with electronic based products would be extremely advantageous.
