BASIC FUNCTION:



Make efficient, cost-effective sales calls on major and high potential accounts. Forecast and profitably sell the Company's products and services in the assigned sales territory as a company representative following the Company's territory management programme, management system, and company policies.



ACCOUNTABILITIES:



Standard Practices: Sell all Company products and services consistent with the Business Plan. Present a positive company and personal image with all customers and potential customers. Recommend sales strategies within your territory. Recommend inventory to support sales strategies. Obtain meaningful competitive information. Create a close working relationship and liaison between management and customers. Provide quotations and book profitable orders.



Customer Relationships: Maintain the highest degree of personal and business ethics. Develop and insure productive working relationship inside your working unit and with other locations throughout the Company.



Training: Will be provided as needed.



Development: Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of major accounts current and future business and all key personnel. Participate in sales training programmes. Read technical industry literature.



SKILL REQUIREMENTS:



Technical Skills: Sound working knowledge of speciality metal products and applications with a sound understanding of selling into high end market sectors such as oil & gas, aerospace and medical. Strong sales aptitude to solve problems and create a preference for the Company's products and services. Must be able to penetrate accounts and develop personnel relationships. Fully learn the Company's ERP system. A higher level of education in an engineering related subject is preferred.



Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication. Must be able to direct communications towards specific objectives. Communicate between customers and others within the Company.



Analytical Skills: Analyse and forecast customer's future requirements and align these with the Company's capabilities. Result in profitable orders on a consistent basis. The use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential.



Management Skills: Must be able to plan and manage business schedules and deadlines. Effectively manage a £2 million to £4 million account base. Must be create profitable sales to support business plans; meeting the Company's objectives on a consistent basis.
