Mechanical Technician opportunity with a world class manufacturing company. The Mechanical Technician ole will be to carry out assembly, installation and test of high value electro - mechanical components and equipment.
 
Role – Mechanical Technician
Location – Telford
Salary – up to £32,000 + Overtime + Benefits
 
The Mechanical Technician will have a background in high value complex assembly ideally working with hydraulic, mechanical and HVAC /Air Conditioning Systems.
 
As thi
s is a highly safety critical product, ideal candidates for this role will possess skills and experience working in the automotive, rail, aerospace, construction equipment, or complex assembly for the nuclear or oil and gas industries.
 
Previously you may have experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Fitter, so can demonstrate all round capabilities reading technical drawings and hands on assembly fitting, welding and fabrication skills.
 
The Role
 

  • Carry out assembly, installation and test of mechanical equipment and systems adhering to technical drawings
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, overhaul and repair on a variety mechanical equipment and systems
  • competent in using a wide range of hand tools and equipment
  • Perform crane and FLT operations
  • Offsite working within and outside the UK may be required
  • Overtime and shift working may be required
 
 
Skills and Experience
 
  • Experienced apprentice trained technician or equivalent
  • Qualification / experience and knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems
  • Install systems andfailure diagnosis
  • Able to understand engineering assembly drawings
  • Knowledge of vehicle automotive systems
  • IT literate and experienced in the use of computer diagnostic equipment
  • C/H licence preferable
  • Good communication skills

  • Overtime and shift working may be required
