Position: Continuous Improvement Manager
Salary: up to £50,000 + bonus + benefits
This Continuous Improvement Manager role offers an abundance of variety across process and quality improvement, cost saving and transactional processes. The CI Manager will report to the Technical Manager and will be responsible for a small team of 2 process specialists. The CI Manager will be able to demonstrate the practical application of improvement tools and sustain improvements. Additionally the Continuous Improvement Manager will be able to react to the changing needs of the business in a fluid fast paced environment. This role would be ideal to a Business Improvement Manager, Six Sigma Manager, Lean Manufacturing Lead, Lean Manufacturing Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, Process Improvement Manager, Senior Process Engineer.
Main duties and responsibilities for the Continuous Improvement Manager:
o Implement World Class Manufacturing methods and processes across the site
o Develop efficient factory layout and support equipment layout to optimise production flow and minimise unnecessary movement via promotion of Lean Manufacturing methods
o Support equipment project timelines and manage on time delivery and buy off
o Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
o Lead and participate in Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement activity across all functions of the business
o Oversee Lean Projects from cradle to grave (anywhere from 6-10 projects at any time)
o You will be able to communicate & engage with all areas of the business from management to the Shopfloor
Knowledge and Education for the Continuous Improvement Manager will be:-
You will already have a proven track record working as a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing or delivering Operational Excellence/ WCM within a high volume manufacturing facility
o HND/Degree in an Engineering related subject
o Six Sigma Green Belt/ Six Sigma Black Belt Certification highly desirable
o In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and how to apply them in practice
