A fantastic opportunity with an international aerospace, defence and industrial manufacturing group for an experienced Key Account Manager to be responsible for a multi-million pound aerospace account.
Key Account Manager – Aerospace
Location: West Midlands

Reporting to the Sales Director your will responsible for maintaining and developing key account relationships for a prestigious client account and emerging revenues streams within the wider organisation.
o Develop close working relationships with Global commercial and sales management and contribute to the regular strategic commercial planning process, with specific emphasis on being the lead thinker for the key account & product stream.
o Focus will be finding new opportunities within the client account by adding value for product streams.
o Identify market share, product stream share, what opportunities exist and what requirements are needed to grow business.
o Create and win incremental sales opportunities throughout the Key account territories.
o Serve as the 'thought leader' for sales in regarding product requirements, selling trends, competitive landscape, marketing programs and communication.
o Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed customer base expansion
Applications are sought from experienced Account Managers or Sales Managers with a proven track record of managing & growing multi million pound client accounts within the specialist engineering solutions sector.
o Degree/ HND or equivalent in Engineering, Materials or Metallurgy
o Proven sales / commercial experience in high value engineering and material sector within Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or defence market
o Working in a high value customer facing role you will be able to prepare complex contracts including Technical, Commercial and Financial documents.
o Strong budgetary and forecasting management, with emphasis on margins, costs & pricing.
o Produce technical papers, articles and reports representing capabilities and commercial range.
o Proven ability to influence senior management on direction of critical sales, commercial and business issues.
o Strategic leadership of sales and commercial resources and activities to drive specific business and organisational objectives.
o Able to travel UK wide and internationally when required / permitted.
This is a demanding but challenging role working for a very established global engineering company in a modern manufacturing unit supplying products around the world. Salary is negotiable depending upon your level of experience but anticipated to be close to six figure overall packaging including car allowance, bonus, health insurance and pension contribution.
