As a Process Technician your role will be to oversee and lead improvement activity for the High Pressure Die Casting manufacturing cells within a brand new production facility.

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the role of Process Technician will be responsible for maintaining the die casting machine process and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
Actively present on the shop floor, you will provide technical support on all production process related issues.
o Support the Die / Tool Change Team to stabilising the process during and after tooling changes, this will involve robot set-ups, HPDC/Thermo control/Vacuum control programme management
o Support the Production team on process related challenges
o Daily dialogue with the Production Team to ensure the processes meet the delivery objectives.
o Maintaining process documentation – daily process audits, process settings sheets, standard work instructions
o Develop and implement process improvement strategies through OEE improvements Cost Avoidance projects & scrap reduction activities.
o Investigate, troubleshoot & resolve – root cause analysis
Knowledge and experience:
In the role of Process Technician you will already have previous foundry and casting experience ideally but people from Injection Moulding, Stampings or Presswork (heavier engineering background)
o HND/HNC - Apprenticeship trained as a minimum for this role
o Process audit & root cause analysis experience with a demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving
o Willing to work on a rotating three shift basis ( 6-2, 2-10, 10-6) and occasional travel oversees for training
o You will have to show the willing and capacity to develop & the ability to learn new skills
o Experience in fast paced manufacturing environment
