An excellent opportunity has now arisen with a leading manufacturer within the manufacturing/packaging industry for a experienced Maintenance Engineer due to increased investment in new fully automated manufacturing facilities.
Maintenance Engineer (Days)
Salary £40- 45000
The maintenance engineer will be joining a well established company, that has big growth and development plans for the coming years including a new purpose built factory. This will involve more capital equipment investment which the engineering team will be instrumental in specifying and commissioning.Working within a high volume automated production cells you will be responsible for both breakdown and preventative maintenance and fault finding on process machinery, filling, capping and carton packaging lines.
o Provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas of the business.
o Carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on automated production lines
o Carry out fault finding activities on the following areas: Liquid filling, capping, labelling and packaging lines incorporating PLC, HMI, camera / vision systems, material handling, hydraulics and pneumatics
o TPM/ PPM in high volume automated production facilities
o Adhere to strict working practices and safety practices
o Continuous improvements process to production equipment and machines
o Support future capital equipment investment planning , installation and commissioning
Applications are sought from Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians or Service Engineers with experience gained in high volume automated liquid filling and packaging machinery, ideally from dairy, brewery, pharmaceutical, chemical or similar sectors
o Apprentice trained with Multi skilled engineering or Mechatronics qualification and training – C&G, BTEC, NVQ level
o Knowledge of chemical blending, filling , capping and associated packaging , vision systems, moulding machines, material handling and associated equipment
o Experience of electrical control systems, PLC and data collection /HMI fault finding
o Experience of implementing planned maintenance & TPM systems
initially working on a single day shift pattern, five days per week, although this may change as the company continues to invest and transfer into a new larger production facility in the future.
