Part of a major international group, this organisation has recently won several significant new automotive business and is seeking to strengthen their commercial team with an additional Account Manager.
Account Manager – Automotive tier 1 manufacturer
Salary:  c£60000 + car + benefits
Location: Shropshire

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for managing day to day commercial and business relationship with automotive OEM customers.
o Support new business acquisition including future vehicle plans and potential business opportunities
o Lead and conduct high level and complex negotiations assigned to quotation, submission and order progress
o Collate sales management data, contributing to preparation of relevant reporting documents (Pricing, volume, timing, debt)
o Manage commercial introduction of new programmes
o Maintain and develop cross functional relationships within the customers engineering, purchasing, quality and finance functions
o Ensuring customer accounts are effectively managed (price agreements, cost movement recovery, engineering changes, claims)
You will already be working in a Business Development capacity within the automotive supply chain as a Senior Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, Account Manager or Key Account Manager with the following knowledge and experience:
o Proven ability to conduct high level and complex negotiations with automotive OEMs
o Knowledge of the Automotive Manufacturing Industry, OEM and large tier 1 preferred.
o Knowledge of complex manufacturing processes such as casting, metal stamping, injection moulding or similar process incorporating material and tooling costs
o Analytical with good judgement, commercial business sense and problem solving skills
o Strong negotiator able to identify customers’ needs and be persuasive when presenting ideas
o Creative with entrepreneurial tendencies.
o Relation builder with good social and networking skills
o Structured worker with good time management and project management ability
