A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance or Control Systems Engineer to become a subject matter expert with a global manufacturing organisation and afford the flexibility to support both ongoing production issues and be involved with strategic programmes.
Electrical Maintenance / Control Systems Engineer
Location - Shropshire
Salary – £42000- 46000 + paid overtime 
Working for a high volume manufacturing facility, as the Electrical Controls Maintenance Engineering expert you will responsible for the implementation and optimisation of factory electrical controls & automated processes to reduce unplanned downtime, equipment failure and machine breakdown and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives within existing manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
o Support production, actively present on the shop floor – Investigate, troubleshoot & resolve electrical and automation failures on foundry and automation machinery incorporating PLC’s, motors, drives, electrical control panels
o Implement electrical maintenance requirements for machines and infrastructure
o Trouble shoot and conduct RCA across electrical and automation breakdown issues
o Assist with preventative maintenance planning and RCM activity to drive improvements
o Understand production OEE and drive strategies for continuous process improvement to machine uptime, quality improvements and cycle time reduction
 Experience:
You will already be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Controls Systems Engineer with an expert knowledge of PLC automation and associated low level industrial control systems  and how to best implement and improve the use of technology to optimise a volume production environment.
o Qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar
o Detailed knowledge of programming and fault-finding PLCs – ideally Siemens TIA or A-B, vision systems. In addition pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical circuit diagram and fault-finding ability
o Optimising automated manufacturing lines within automotive, aerospace, casting, foundry or similar industrial sectors
o Proven structured problem solving methods and experience of process change management
o Proven ability to train others
