A fantastic opportunity is available for a flexible and analytical Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturing company in Brownhills. This position will see you planning a multi-stage production process for a high number of SKUs.
 
Position: Production Planner
Location: Brownhills, West Midlands/Staffordshire Borders
Salary: Circa £30,000 - £35,000 (negotiable)
 
The successful Production Planner will work from the company offices in Brownhills, planning all production across various methods, for runners, repeaters and any NPI.  Due to the high number of SKUs and processes which are involved, and the almost endless combinations of these, the role will be involved and interesting on a daily basis.
 
 
The Production Planner will be responsible for:

  • Implementing & controlling production plans for all customers, based on customers schedules.
  • Entering customer schedules onto ERP system.
  • Where customer scheduled demand can’t be achieved, liaising with the internal supply chain and customer to find a mutually beneficial resolution.
  • Where applicable identifying outsourcing needs due to internal capacity constraints
  • Chairing of daily production meetings.
 
 
Therefore, the Production Planner will have the following personal qualities, skills and experience:
  • A proven track record In Production Planning, ideally in a background of production fabrications & machining.
  • Sound Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Computer skills i.e., Microsoft Office Applications, MRP Systems
  • Experience dealing directly with customers
  • Ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
  • Pro-active and an excellent communicator who can work under pressure and can respond flexibly to issues as they arise.
 
In return, the company has already written a full training plan for the successful Production Planner, and this will be part of your initial embedding period, the duration of this will be subject to your skills and experience.  You will be offered a permanent position with a salary of circa £30,000 - £35,000 (this is negotiable), 25 days holiday in line with company shutdowns, and a Monday to Friday working week (42 Hours, working days).
