Job Description

As an Account Director you will be directly reporting into the Senior Board of this major international automotive component manufacturer. You will be responsible for the commercial development, management and relationships of their automotive OEM customer base. This role will focus on sales strategies in accordance with corporate policy and overall objectives of the company and will enable you to use your strong entrepreneurial approach in successfully leading, obtaining and driving new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

o To lead and drive new business development opportunities.
o Manage a team of Automotive Account Managers and their KPI's.
o Responsible for all commercial activities within the division including leading customer interface on strategic RFQ's.
o Manage the interface with the customer at a management level.
o Continuously improve the department operation processes and department performance.
o Support the Board of Director with strategic business planning
o Lead annual productivity negotiations
Qualifications and Aptitudes:
To be successful in this role you will already have several years experience working as an Account Director, Sales Director, Commercial Director, Senior Sales Manager and will see this as a tremendous opportunity to establish and influence the commercial function within a successful manufacturing facility within the Automotive Industry.
Further more your experience will encompass some of the following key metrics;
o Senior management experience working within the automotive tier 1 supply chain with proven relationships with automotive OEMs (JLR, BMW group, Volkswagen Group, Honda, Nissan, Toyota)
o Several years of experience in sales within the Automotive sector, working at a senior level.
o Ability to proactively interpret emerging customer trends and act upon this, turning them into commercial opportunities for the organisation
o Results driven through a methodical and analytical approach with good attention to detail.
o Ability to negotiate, recognise key issues, risks and opportunities.
o Willingness to work to get the job done and to travel.
o Degree in Engineering related subject or equivalent
o Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower others and have strong people skills.
