Benefits of Midlands Aerospace Alliance membership

Technical Network have been proud members of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance since 2007 and count UTC Aerospace Systems, Meggitt, Timet, Bromford Industries and Control & Data Services (Rolls Royce) amongst our customers.

Technical Network was established in Birmingham and Wolverhampton in the 1980’s to provide a professional and quality recruitment service for the regions engineering and manufacturing industry, particularly within the aerospace, automotive and electronics industry. Increasingly these high technology sectors were demanding a higher level of service from recruitment service providers and required an increasingly higher caliber of skilled and qualified engineering and management professionals, in-order to grow their businesses.

We have continually ensured that we maintain leading quality standards and were the first recruitment consultancy to gain BS5750 accreditation and subsequently ISO9001:2008. To further build upon our professional reputation we have joined several industry and trade associations and were delighted to one of the first recruitment consultancies invited to join the Midlands Aerospace Alliance in 2008. This enables our team to keep abreast of the latest technical developments and commercial market conditions as well as access to MAA Annual General meeting and other networking events.

The Midlands Aerospace Alliance was formed in 2003 to support and represent the aerospace industry across the Midlands region. The Midlands hosts one of the world’s major aerospace clusters that does not make aircraft, with the UK being the second largest global player in the aerospace sector after the USA.

Yet the Midlands is home to over one quarter of the UKs aerospace industry, 7% of Europe’s and 3% of the world’s, with over 50,000 full time jobs working within the aerospace supply chain – manufacturing components and sub systems for export to global aerospace customers.
