We work together to define our vision, our values and how we work with each other, our clients and our candidates. We call it the ‘Network Way’. It’s how we do, think, are.
Through this process we realised that we want you to really get to know us, as much as we want to get to know you. This way, we can enjoy every day that we work together.
When we all enjoy what we do, bringing our best qualities, strengths and creativity to the forefront, the possibilities for progress are endless. And we can enjoy the journey.
A childhood spent drawing cars in his school books somehow led Rob into an apprenticeship in the automotive industry and after studying engineering at college and working with design & development for a few years, a desire to ‘travel and meet new people’ resulted in a new career in technical recruitment.
25 years later, Rob is now a Director of Technical Network still completely enjoys recruiting engineers and management professionals for the manufacturing sector.
Outside work, his interests still revolve around petrol, having restored several classic cars. According to his long-suffering wife, he is currently going through a mid life crisis after buying a VW camper van to accompany his sport car.
Rob’s other interests include family, F1 motor sport, golf, football, travel and food. All good stuff and essential for life in general.
Born in Lichfield and raised in Hammerwich, Paul decided to leave school at 16 and earn some money. Having no idea what he wanted to do he started working for an accountancy firm for a short time and worked for a Stockbrokers for nearly 10 years. When the stockbrokers were acquired in 1999, Paul took a golden handshake and transitioned into technical recruitment.
Paul joined Network in October 2002 his second role in recruitment. Earning his directorship in 2012 Paul helped guide the business successfully through the recession and set up the Food and Drink division. He’s still hands on recruiting and enjoys working closely with his clients and colleagues. Amongst other activities Paul heads up Network’s Recruitment Academy.
Paul has a passion for music, food, sport, travel and spending time with his family. His influences span from Morrissey to Mohammed Ali. He is also a retired football coach, who enjoys playing more and for some ridiculous reason has been an avid lifetime follower of Birmingham City, which he believes has strengthened his resolve, taught him how to lose gracefully and celebrate every minor success! We agree.
This absolute legend was born in the hood of Birmingham. He then moved to Leicester for 3 years where he attended DeMontfort University where he obtained a 2:1 in Psychology. Having had a strong passion for understanding the motivations, reasons and behaviours of people, he went on to fall into the glamorous world of Sales Recruitment…….or so he thought.
Specialising in Commercial Engineering, JT has strong active listening skills and a very large network where he picks out the ideal candidate for his ever expanding client base.
In his spare time, JT competes MMA and has had 15 professional fights where he is undefeated, He also plays Kabaddi for Birmingham where he tours around the UK competing with other towns. Tank never loses.
Born and raised in the North East, Keith left school at 16 and started working for Glaxo as a Quality Control Analyst. Many years later he found himself (via Australia) in London working in engineering recruitment where he picked up lots of knowledge, experience and terrible excuses for not turning up to interviews. He's been lucky enough to work with some great people in his time both candidates, clients and colleagues who’ve given him a passion for manufacturing and recruitment.
A family man with a young son who rules with an iron fist. He enjoys reading the classics (Where’s Spot? Topsy & Tim etc) as well as chasing the cat around the garden and extensive exercise pushing him on the swings. He's grown to love Birmingham but believe it would be a better place if a few more of us rode our bicycles to work.
Born in Cheltenham with an early love of tampering with cars, its no surprise he found himself starting out life as an “all-rounder” in an independent engineer workshop as a manual machinist, coil winder, welder and electronic assembler.
Fast forward 10 years and Darius developed his career into Technical Recruitment, focusing around the Midlands for the last 4 years, which is where he now joins us!
A mean cook, guitarist and seasoned world traveller, he likes to keep himself busy at home as well as at work.
With a lot more of the world to see, he hopes to fill up his annual leave soon with a few more adventures.
Jamie grew up in Chesterfield (famous for a crooked spire and little else) and decided he wanted to go to university in Birmingham, but once he got there he decided uni wasn’t for him but Birmingham was and he started a career in sales.
After around 6 years in sales; selling anything from advertising to outsourced HR services he decided to make the jump into recruitment where he now hires technical sales professionals.
Jamie’s background in sales helps him understand what really drives his candidates and enables him to put them in their perfect roles.
Jamie’s interests include avoiding the gym which he pays for (6 months and counting), football, golf, tennis, cricket and horse racing. He supports Coventry City and has finally seen them have a good season last year but most importantly finished above Port Vale.
Jane specialises in Service Engineering within the packaging and automation sectors. She began her recruitment career in Engineering three years ago.
Before recruitment, she was one of those pesky street fundraisers; selling charities to members of the public and generally being a bit annoying, kidding!
During her time as a fundraiser, she won the Marie Curie award for fundraiser of the year; but unfortunately she dropped the award – hence smashing both the trophy and of course her targets.
She’s just bought a new home so all of her energy and spare time goes into the house. She’d love to be a gym bunny but loves her sleep and being lazy.
Stuart is our consultant for the Food, Drinks & General Manufacturing division focusing on Operational and Technical roles in the Midlands and the North of the UK. In reality, this is all of a side-line from his fantastic comedic talent and ability to turn a pun, which keeps the whole office laughing (or wanting to throw him out depending on your stance). However, just a warning- any jokes about air conditioning- he is not a fan.
Away from terrible jokes and only slightly better recruitment abilities, Stuart is a season ticket holder at Aston Villa (for his sins) and is man of simple pleasures who enjoys spending time with friends and family. He also has the highly unusual and pointless ability to be able to name the capital city of any country in the world. He is a loser but we wouldn’t have him any other way.
John started out in engineering as a tool maker and fabricator/welder in the oil and gas and nuclear industries which he did for 15 years before moving into the world of recruitment.
Growing up around a family of engineers and spending time around the family business as a child it was always likely to rub off and become a logical path to follow.
Having crossed over to recruitment John is able to use his background giving him a good grasp and understanding of roles and requirements which stands him in good stead and bringing a different dynamic to the table.
John is part of the Capital Equipment team, he is methodical in his approach and enjoys expanding his knowledge in engineering, something this role certainly allows him to do.
John’s interests include training at the gym, fishing, going to the cinema and supporting his favourite team Aston Villa FC (which usually ends in disappointment).
Sandeep was born down south but moved to the sunny West Midlands. Having tried his hand at a number of different positions in different industries including the NHS with a methadone drop clinic, Post Production films houses & playing cricket in Australia; most of Sandeep’s time prior to joining Technical Network was spent working for Biffa Waste Services where he worked with the hazardous waste Key Accounts Team.
Sandeep is specialising in recruiting Manufacturing & Quality professionals for high value companies in various sectors but mainly Aerospace & Automotive.
His main extra curricular activities are playing cricket and playing the drums in a band. His cricket has seen him play in the much coveted Birmingham & District Cricket League for many years for Wolverhampton, Himley & Penn cricket clubs.
His drumming skills have seen him play all the biggest venues – The Actress & Bishop Birmingham, The Greyhound Llangunllo, Bilston College Open Day to name a few– he is currently drumming in a band called Lakhota – a band stuck in a 90’s time warp still playing Grunge music – but he has a lot of fun.
Josh started his career with Technical Network as an apprentice working towards an NVQ, whilst gaining valuable experience on the job.
On completion of the apprenticeship, he progressed from basic database administration to carrying out most of the companies marketing, website and social media updates and also training others on the marketing systems.
Josh has since been introduced to the world of recruitment, and has been trained to work with a variety of Engineers and Technical Specialists.
His strengths are attention to detail and keenness to learn to really understand the market he works in.
Interests outside of work include fast cars and chicken! Yes, chicken.
Paige diligently manages the weekly payroll at Technical Network and deals with any queries that come up. She also looks after administrative duties for both our Consultants and Temps.
Her strengths are her attention to detail, clear communication style and her ability to build strong relationships with our temporary workers to provide a consistent, efficient service.
Paige is frequently seen sneaking downstairs to turn the heating back on, or sitting as close as possible to a radiator.
Her interests outside of work include films, painting and art, music, Nandos, and spending as much time as possible asleep or at the very least sitting in pyjamas. She doesn’t wear them for work though.
